ETIAS can only be used for business, leisure, transit and medical reasons travels to the 34 ETIAS Member Countries and must be applied for electronically

Duration of stay in the ETIAS Area must not exceed 90 days within 180 days
Passport validity must always cover for the entire permanence and have three additional months remaining since leaving from ETIAS Area
Europe and Palau travel exchanges
The EU immigration measures valid to this very day grant Nationals of Palau the right to travel to the 34 EU/ Schengen Area Member States without obligation for any particular document or authorization besides their valid Palau Passport. These Visa Waiver rights currently already allow Citizens of Palau to travel towards and across a number of Countries in Europe for either tourism and leisure, commerce, medical treatment or transit for a duration of visit never to exceed ninety days within six months. By the mean of its implementation ETIAS System’s goal is to provide visitors from Palau, and from other 59 Visa Waiver Countries, faster and more efficient border control routine upon arrival at the EU air, land or sea borders. At the same time ETIAS System is also anticipated to produce the effect of reducing the cases of border rejections.
With the aim of creating a more secure travel environment while at the same time without the will to create any hindrance the ETIAS application procedure has been planned and drafted so as to be intuitive and easy to approach and should require each applicant no more than 10 minutes of time.How and when to apply for ETIAS
In order to put their application for ETIAS forward all candidates from Palau, elders and minors included, are required to fill out a short form where they are to declare their personal information and contact details, travel schedule and a standard series of background check and general eligibility questions.
After inputting all the data, it is always important to double check everything before paying the ETIAS taxes and officially submitting the request, since it will not be possible to change such data anytime later and since even a small mistake can lead to a rejection of the Visa Waiver.

Once approved ETIAS Visa Waiver is valid for 3 years from its date of issue and permits multiple entries in the 30 ETIAS Member Countries provided that such trips comply with the general ETIAS limitations for purpose and duration of stay as mentioned above.
Palau travelers that already have a valid Schengen Visa on their passport or that hold a Permit of Stay issued by a Schengen Member Country are not required to apply for ETIAS to enter any of the 34 Member Countries.
To this extent in must additionally be highlighted that until further notice a national Visa or Permit of Stay issued by Cyprus will not be considered a valid exemption criterion from the obligation to hold an ETIAS or Schengen Visa, while ETIAS will in any case be required to Visa Waiver genuine short-term visitors entering such State.Moreover, any Citizen of Palau willing to live, work or study in any of the 34 ETIAS Nations on a long-term basis will not be considered eligible for ETIAS and hence still required to apply for Consular Schengen Visa.

Once inside the ETIAS Area no border control is usually applied when moving from one Schengen Country to another; still, it is always advisable for each traveler, upon such transfers, to hold a copy of their valid Visa Waiver and all the other recommended additional documents as previously summarized.
