Each applicant must have a valid passport issued by the Republic of Mauritius
ETIAS needed for business, tourism/family visit, transit and medical treatment journeys
Duration of stay in the ETIAS Area in its entirety must never exceed the total of 90 days within 6 months.

To be used for journeys whose purpose is alternatively tourism/family visit, business/trade, medical care or transit and with a duration of stay of no more than 90 days in 180 days, ETIAS will as a matter of fact be soon required to all Mauritius citizen visitors fitting in these categories.
Travelers with planned stay longer ninety days within six months or whose purpose of the trip is not included in the short list above will still be required to apply for a Consular Visa. Travel purposes that are not covered by ETIAS are work, study and moving one’s residence.
It must although be highlighted that even if ETIAS is not fit for long term study programs in the EU, ETIAS Visa Waiver can be used by Nationals of Mauritius for short training programs (such as language courses, cooking school and corporate training courses) if the stay in the ETIAS countries area will not exceed the aforementioned limit as far as duration of stay is concerned.ETIAS digital form

- contact details including a valid e-mail address
- first ETIAS country of intended stay
- eligibility and background questions
Once the ETIAS application has than been sent forward through the tax payment, all the data will be cross checked by EU Institutions and a number of international security databases. For additional detail on ETIAS security clearance click here.
The security check protocol is meticulous but also very efficient and aims to allow most of the applicants from Mauritius to receive the result of their application on their e-mail address within 72 hours.
Once issued, the ETIAS Visa Waiver for Mauritius Nationals is valid for 3 years and allows for multiple entries in any of the Schengen Area current/future Member and de Facto Member Nations.

Among the additional documents that could be required are:- Proof of sufficient funds to support one’s stay in Europe
- Health travel insurance
