From early 2025, Nationals of Honduras will be eligible for European Union’s new Visa Waiver necessary so as to travel towards any of the 34 program participating Countries. An ETIAS, this the name of the Waiver, will be necessary for journeys whose proven purpose is for tourism, business, transit or medical treatment and with an overall stay never exceeding 90 days out of every 6 months.

Honduras Nationals eligible for ETIAS Visa Waiver starting from early 2025
ETIAS to be used exclusively for trips whose purpose is either tourism/family visit, business, transit or medical treatment in the 34 ETIAS Member and de facto Member Nations
Maximum stay in the ETIAS Area not to exceed 90 days within 6 months.
Must hold a valid passport of the Republic of Honduras with at least 3 months of remaining validity upon leaving ETIAS Area

To apply for ETIAS on a Honduras passport
Just like other ETIAS Eligible Countries, National of Honduras are to be required to submit a series of information to put forward their Visa Waiver application.
Personal data, contact details including a valid e-mail address, details of the first planned trip to ETIAS Area and background questions are the main sets of information that each candidate will be asked to input while filling out the form.
Once the form has been sent forward after the payment of the due Taxes has been completed, all the information will be cross-checked by EU Institutions and International Security Databases.
The checking protocol is meticulous but at the same time very fast and will allow most of the applicants to receive the outcome of their application, on their e-mail address, in no more than 3 days.
It is therefore strongly recommended to apply for ETIAS Visa Waiver at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time towards the Europe.
Since The ETIAS approval will only be sent directly to each traveler’s personal e-mail it is also very important for each applicant to input a valid and working e-mail account when they fill out the required form.ETIAS issuance and use
Once issued ETIAS is valid for multiple travels and with a validity of maximum 3 years or until the passport expiry date.
ETIAS Visa Waiver will be then valid for all travel that fit inside the limitations of purpose and stay mentioned above and regardless of the point of origin of the trip and of the mean of transportation used.
As a matter of fact, ETIAS will be suitable to enter any of the 34 Member Countries not just from air borders but from land and sea borders as well and also regardless of the place of commencement of the travel.
Upon reaching the ETIAS Area Borders voyagers coming to the EU/Schengen Area from Honduras might be required to provide further documents to prove the purpose and scheduled duration of their trips such as:
return ticket to origin country
onwards ticket to a non-ETIAS Member Country where the traveler has a proven right to enter
proof of sufficient funds to support the whole travel
any other document that could demonstrate the actual aim of the journeyA travel health insurance is not a compulsory condition to ETIAS voyagers from Honduras but is anyway strongly recommended.
